Tuesday 2nd November

Giants @ Chiefs

Giants/Chiefs SGM - Stake 1.5 Units, Minimum Odds 4.4, Best Book - Lads/Neds

We have two quarterbacks who are deceptively athletic and quietly average over 30 rushing yards per game each. Both of these QBs have gone over their totals in 5/7 games each this season. Both the Chiefs and Giants are on their backup running backs leading to them finding more creative ways to move the ball on the ground.

Monday 1st November

Cowboys @ Vikings

Cook SGM - Stake 1.5 Units, Minimum Odds 5.0, Best Book - BET365

With Dak Prescott ruled out the Cowboys will struggle to move the ball through the air against what is an underrated Vikings defence. Dalvin Cook will be able to move the ball against the Cowboys rush defence who have shown lapses all season. The Vikings will work the clock down putting even more pressure on the Cowboys back up quarterback.

Panthers @ Falcons

Panthers/Falcons Total Under 46.5 - Stake 2 Units, Minimum Odds 1.88, Best Book - Sportsbet

This match is always closely contested and low scoring. The Panthers started the season fast, but have shown an inept ability to score without Christian McCaffrey. The Falcons have shown glimpses of the offence. Stephon Gilmore will make his Panthers debut which will strengthen their secondary and keep the punt teams busy.

Rams @ Texans

Cooper Kupp 2+ Touchdowns - Stake 1 Unit, Minimum Odds 3.5, Best Book - Pointsbet

Cooper Kupp has scored 2 touchdowns in 4 of his 7 games this season. The matchup against the Texans looks like one of the best of the week, and I can see no reason why Kupp cant keeps scoring in bunches.

Dolphins @ Bills

Line Total Double, -14, Under 48.5 - Stake 1.5 Units, Minimum Odds 3.3, Best Book - Pointsbet

The Bills are a step above this season and are already in the Superbowl conversation. The Dolphins however are looking like they have a big decision to make on whether to salvage some respect or tank for a draft pick. In the first meeting this season, the Bills prevailed 35-0. I can see a very similar game playing out here.

Titans @ Colts

Derrick Henry SGM - Stake 2 Units, Minimum Odds 2.3, Best Book - BET365

Derrick Henry is on another level this season and another big performance, will put him firmly in the MVP conversation. Henry has ploughed past this yardage total in 5 of 7 games so far and has scored in 4 of those 7 matches.

Derrick Henry 2+ TD - Stake 1 Unit, Minimum Odds 3.1, Best Book - Topsport

Derrick Henry has scored multiple touchdowns in 3 of 7 games so far this season and shows no signs of stopping.

Steelers @ Browns

Browns/Steelers SGM - Stake 1.5 Units, Minimum Odds 3.4, Best Book - Lads/Neds

Nick Chubb is a capable pass-catcher out of the backfield and should see a good amount of 3rd down work. Chubb will be favoured in passing situations over last weeks star, Johnson. Diontae Johnson is Big Bens favourite target and will see a tonne of action.

Jaguars @ Seahawks

Seahawks/Jaguars SGM - Stake 1 Unit, Minimum Odds 3.4, Best Book - Lads/Neds

Geno Smith has shown over the last couple of weeks that he is actively searching for Metcalf in the passing game. Metcalf has one of the best matchups of the week. Laviska Shenault has seen an increase in target share since DJ Chark was injured. During the 3 games Chark has been out, Shenault has passed this receiving total each week.

Seahawks/Jaguars TD SGM - Stake 0.5 Units, Minimum Odds 14, Best Book - Sportsbet

This is a nice value play in a match I could see turning into a shoot out.

Patriots @ Chargers

Chargers -4.5/Under 49.5 Double - Stake 1.5 Units, Minimum Odds 3.4, Best Book - Lads/Neds

We are getting a soft line on this match because of how good the Patriots looked last week. This week however the rested Chargers present a huge challenge for the Patriots. Matchup wise it favours the Chargers across the board. It’s tough to see the Patriots scoring too many points here.

Buccaneers @ Saints

Bucs/Saints SGM - Stake 1 Unit, Minimum Odds 6.0, Best Book - Sportsbet

Leonard Fournette has been great in the passing game so far this season going over this receiving line in 5 of his last 6 games. Alvin Kamara sowed us last week he hasn’t lost his ability to catch the ball, posting a huge 128 yards through the air. With Mark Ingram back with the Saints, Kamara can focus on the receiving game more. With these two strong defences, I can see us getting treated to a close lower scoring game that doesn’t blow out either way.

Packers @ Cardinals

Packers SGM - Stake 1.5 Units, Minimum Odds 3.7, Best Book - Sportsbet

Cardinals SGM - Stake 1.5 Units, Minimum Odds 3.4, Best Book - Lads/Neds

Combo SGM - Stake 0.5 Units, Minimum Odds 12, Best Book - Sportsbet

I've had this game circled for a while as one of the best Thursday Night games were going to get this season. However, with the Packers missing their top 3 receivers, the energy has died down a bit. Aaron Rodgers has shown in the past that he is capable of finding success without Davante Adams, going 6-0 without him over the last two seasons. I want to get behind the Packers spread in a poor spot for the Cardinals, but their defence is so bad that I cant do it. In the past, without Adams, Rodgers has leant heavily on his tight ends to get the job done, and I expect more of the same today.

Bet 1 Robert Tonyan O41.5 rec yards + TD - Tonyan has not seen his usual workload so far with his targets lower than last season; however, I expect this to increase significantly with the lack of offensive firepower. Tonyan has cleared this total in only 2/7 games this season but has scored a touchdown both times. In two games last season without Davante Adams, Tonyan had almost 150 receiving yards and four touchdowns. The only knock on this play is the Cardinals being stout against tight ends so far this season, but situationally they have not been in a game where an oppositions tight end has been a factor.

Bet 2 Chase Edmonds O45.5 rush yards+ Christian Kirk O42.5 rec yards - Edmonds has gone over this rushing yardage total in 5/7 games this season. Edmonds is also starting to create a gap between himself and James Connor on the depth chart, with Edmonds' receiving and big-play ability keeping him on the field for more snaps. The packers are missing players all over their defence and are struggling to stop anyone at the moment. Christian Kirk has gone over this receiving yards line in 5/7 games, and together these players have gone over in 4/7 matches. Kirk is firmly entrenched as the Cardinals WR3 but has the upside to end the season as the WR2. Kirk flashes big-play ability and should hold a matchup advantage against anyone that guards him.

Bet 3 - SGM1+SGM2

Tuesday 26th October

Saints @ Seahawks

Saints - 5.5 - Stake 2.5 Units, Minimum Odds 1.9, Best Book - Topsport

The Saints have got a lot of their players healthy over the bye week and will be ready to make a run to the playoffs. The Seahawks defence is one of the worst in the league, unable to stop the run or the pass. Geno Smith will be the Seahawks quarterback, and although I didn’t mind him in his first start, I struggle to see him being accurate this week. Over the last four seasons on Monday Night Football, the away favourite has gone 66% ATS and they have won 87% straight Up. This gives us strong numbers to back up our play.

Kamara SGM - Stake 1 Unit, Minimum Odds 3.1, Best Book - Lads/Neds

Alvin Kamara is beginning to see his usual workload in the passing game once again seeing 8 targets last time he played. Kamara had over 90 receiving yards last time he played the Seahawks. The Seahawks have been poor this season at guarding receiving backs.

Monday 25th October

Colts @ 49ers

49ers SGM - Stake 1.5 Units, Minimum Odds 3.4, Best Book - BET365

Juszczyk SGM - Stake 0.5 Units, Minimum Odds 20, Best Book - Sportsbet

This looks to be a terrible weather game, and I cant see a lot of points coming from either side. This projects to be a slow dink n dunk and running style of play. Kyle Juszczyk is one of the best fullbacks in the league and has seen increased usage in the receiving game while George Kittle has been banged up. In the last three games, Juszczyk has gone over 35 receiving yards each time and has scored once during this run. With the poor weather, I expect Juszczyk to be heavily used, especially in short-yardage situations.

Panthers @ Giants

Daniel Jones Over 20.5 Rush Yards - Stake 2 Units, Minimum Odds 1.88 (or over 22.5 yards) - Best Book - BET365

Daniel Jones cleared this mark easily in the first four weeks of the season. Jones missed week 5 and there was no reason to be scrambling against the Rams last week. I expect Jones to clear this number quite easily in what looks to be a competitive game.

Football Team @ Packers

Packers SGM - Stake 1.5 Units, Minimum Odds 2.9, Best Book - Sportsbet

Davante Adams is the premier wide receiver in the league. Adams has always bounced back after a down week and i’m expecting him to have a big week here.

Chiefs @ Titans

Chiefs/Titans SGM - Stake 1 Unit, Minimum Odds 4.8, Best Book - BET365

This is looking like being a high scoring game with the Chiefs in a good spot to win. AJ Brown looked fantastic in the second half last week and gets a terrific matchup this week to do the same. The Chiefs have been horrid against their oppositions number 1 receiver.

Lions @ Rams

Rams/Lions SGM - Stake 1.5 Units, Minimum Odds 2.4, Best Book - Lads/Neds

The Rams are on a 42 game run where they have won the match after leading at halftime. I expect the Rams to start fast and force Jared Goff into throwing to his favourite target in Hockenson.

Bears @ Buccaneers

Mike Evans Anytime Touchdown - Stake 2 Units, Minimum Odds 1.9, Best Book - Lads/Neds

Mike Evans is a touchdown machine and has a nose for the endzone. Last season with Tom Brady, Evans had 13 Touchdowns and gets a terrific matchup against a poor Bears secondary.

Texans @ Cardinals

DeAndre Hopkins Anytime Touchdown - Stake 2 Units, Minimum Odds 1.85, Best Book - BET365

DeAndre Hopkins 2+ Touchdowns - Stake 2 Units, Minimum Odds 4.2, Best Book - BET365

DeAndre Hopkins has 6 touchdowns so far this season and shows no signs of slowing. Hopkins has seen his targets go down this season, but he still has a high red zone target share. Hopkins gets a great matchup against the Texans. The Texans are Hopkins former team and it was a harsh breakup. I’m expecting Hopkins to want to put the hammer down against his former team.

Broncos @ Browns

Browns SGM - Stake 1.5 Units, Minimum Odds 3.4, Best Book - Lads/Neds

Browns Win SGM - Stake 0.5 Units, Minimum Odds 14.5, Best Book - Sportsbet

This week on Thursday Night Football, we have the injured Browns playing the overrated Broncos. The Browns are banged up across every level on offence, with their QB, RB1, RB2 and WR1 all set to miss the game. This, however, won't stop me from leaning towards the Browns having the better game here. The Browns have lost three games against teams that are collectively 13-5. The Broncos, on the other hand, have beaten teams that have a collective 3-14. This shows us that the Broncos are only winning bad teams, and the Browns are losing to good teams. Baker Mayfield being out is a lot less significant than people think, as Case Keenum is very experienced in this offence. Keenum led the Vikings to the NFC Championship Game while leading Kevin Stefanski's offence.

SGM 1 - Rashard Higgins Over 24.5 receiving yards - Higgins has made this line in 12 of his last 14 matches. With OBJ out Higgins should see a slight uptick in targets. Higgins is the number 4 receiver on this team when everyone is healthy, so they should have an excellent connection with Keenum as they are generally training together. - Jarvis Landry Over 44.5 receiving yards - Landry could have been rushed back last week, but the Browns wanted to make sure he was 100% before putting him back in the game. Landry has hit this line in 7 of his last eight healthy matches and will be heavily targetted underneath Keenum. Keenum had a great connection with Adam Thielen in 2017, who was playing a lot of his snaps out of the slot and had over 1250 receiving yards.

SGM 2 - SGM 1 + Browns Win + Jarvis Landry touchdown. - Landry has found the endzone in 6 of his last eight matches and has the upside of being used as a weapon in goalline situations. The Broncos have been poor against slot receivers more than any other offensive position.

NFL Early Lines

Bengals @ Ravens

Ravens -6.5 - Stake 2 Units, Minimum Odds 1.89, Best Book - UNIBET

The Bengals have begun the season as one of the biggest surprises thus far. The Bengals are 4-2, with their losses coming by 3 points; however, I view this as a phony record that will be corrected this week. The Bengals got lucky in their Vikings and Jaguars victories which could quickly have gone the other way. The Bengals offence flashes potential, but they have not faced any elite defences as they will against the Ravens. The Ravens pass rush throws up multiple fronts and can easily expose the Bengals young offensive line. The Ravens makeshift rushing attack is quickly returning to being one of the leagues most potent. It is hard to gameplan against the different running styles and option plays that the Ravens employ. The coaching in this matchup is miles apart. The Ravens have one of the best coaching units in the league. However, the Bengals have an overrated coaching room that has been calling very questionable plays.

Jets @ Patriots

Total Points Under 42.5 - Stake 2 Units, Minimum Odds 1.9, Best Book - Sportmarket

When we look at the Jets and Patriots game, there are two ways we can attack this. We could go with the adage that Bill Belichick has a terrific record against rookie quarterbacks and can gameplan against them. Or we can look at the total with the Patriots being a ball-control team that wants to get ahead then work the clock, and the Jets are showing an inept ability to score. I’m going to be looking at the total under in this match due to this being the second meeting between these two sides. The Jets are coming off the bye where they will have focused on defence and keep games close for their rookie quarterback. The last match between these sides ended 25-6, and I expect another low scoring game here, but a closer match.

Falcons @ Dolphins

Falcons -2.5 - Stake 2 Units, Minimum Odds 1.89, Best Book - Sportmarket

Now this game all comes down to the spot that each of these teams is in. On a neutral field, I have the Falcons as slight favourites, but I can see the Falcons coming through with a big win under the circumstances. The Falcons will be getting Calvin Ridley back this week and are coming off the bye. This week, the Dolphins are severely injured on both the offence and defence and are coming straight off their London game. The rest factor is a significant advantage to the Falcons here, and they have had two weeks to prepare for this game.

Watford welcomes new coach Claudio Ranieri who has had mixed success over the years but has the pedigree to turn this team around. Watford beat Liverpool 3-0 in this fixture last season and at these odds, we are getting value on them to upset Liverpool again.

Brighton Win - Stake 2 Units, Minimum Odds 2.0, Best Book - Sportsmarket

Wait Brighton’s sitting two points off the lead on the Premier League table and have only conceded 6 goals all season? This Brighton team has been coming together for several seasons and Grahame Potter looks like he has finally got the pieces to click. Brighton is going to struggle against teams that can blow them off the pitch but their defence will hold up to all but the best. Norwich has shown little improvement so far this season and grabbing a draw against a lowly Burnley outfit last time out doesn’t inspire confidence.

Diontae Johnson is a magnet on the field, attracting more targets per game than any other Steeler player. With Smith-Schuster out, Johnson will be heavily relied on as a possession receiver and chain mover. Johnson has gone over 63.5 receiving yards in 6 of his last seven matches and found the endzone in 4 of them.

DK Metcalf is the undisputed number 1 receiver on this team as Tyler Lockett goes missing for games on end if he doesn't get the big plays. Metcalf has gone over this total in his last three games straight and has scored a touchdown in each of those games.

Both of these players have terrific matchups and expect to be heavily targetted under the lights.

I have a couple of nice positive EV SGM's in play for the Bucs @ Eagles NFL game today. The Bucs have been looking great outside of their terrible loss against the Rams and are playing an Eagles side that looks a few years away from being in the playoff hunt.

SGM 1 - Antonio Brown O63.5 Receiving Yards, Antonio Brown Touchdown, Kenneth Gainwell over 23.5 Receiving Yards.

Antonio Brown will get a terrific matchup today as booming cornerback Darius Slay will likely cover Mike Evans. Brown has gone over this receiving yards total in 2 of 4 games this season and missed a 3rd by half a yard. More importantly, however, Brown continues to see an increase in his targets, enhancing his significant play ability. Brown has been a touchdown machine for most of his career, and this is revealing itself once again as he becomes a vital piece of this offence. Brown has scored a touchdown in both games this season, where he went over his yardage total and in 7 of his previous ten games. Kenneth Gainwell is becoming a vital part of the Eagles offence and is a capable pass-catcher on passing downs. The expectation is that the Eagles will be in giving formation as it is tough to run on them and will likely be playing behind. The opposing receiving back has flown past this total in all of the Bucs victories this season.

SGM 2 - Previous legs plus, Tampa Bay Win, Under 52.5, Jalen Reagor over 39.5 Receiving Yards.

Like most people, I expect Tampa Bay to win this match, but I believe it will be closer than people expect. Tom Brady was poor on Thursday games last season, and this is where we have seen his age catch up to him with the quick turnaround. While I expect a strong Buccaneers first half, I expect them to coast home in the second half if they have a lead and rely on the running game to work the clock. Antonio Brown does his best work in the first half. Jalen Reagor is an intriguing prospect who has shown his potential this season. Reagor has gone over this total in two of five games, but they were both against good matchups for him. There are very few matchups better for wide receivers than this beat-up Bucs secondary right now. Reagor will split his time between the edge and the slot, which will make it harder to track his elusiveness and speed. Reagor is second on the Eagles in targets and has the enormous upside to having a big game here.

Rams -2.5 - Stake 2 Units, Minimum Odds 1.9, Best Book - Sportsbet

We're getting a nice number on the Rams here at -2.5 currently, and I enjoy taking high octane teams coming off a loss. So far this season, all four away teams on Thursday Night Football have covered the spread. The Seahawks are as phony as a $3 bill, and I currently have them as the worst team in their division. The Rams have an incredible record of 40-0 when leading at halftime, and I expect them to come out of the gates fast this week against a poor Seahawks defence.

Titans @ Jaguars

Titans -4 - Stake 2.5 Units, Minimum Odds 1.88, Best Book - Pointsbet

Titans -4 - Stake 2.5 Units, Minimum Odds 1.88, Best Book - Pointsbet

The Titans had a poor game last week, getting beaten by the Jets in overtime. The Titans had troubles in the red zone as they couldn't convert their field goals into touchdowns due to some average playcalling. Right now, we are getting a good number due to the uncertainty of Julio Jones and AJ Brown, but with another whole week of practice without them, the Titans will have a better game plan. Urban Meyer is all over the news right now, and it is highly likely he has lost the locker room. Whenever teams have coaching issues heading into a game, it has a decisive effect on the game plan. Derrick Henry looks set for another massive competition on the ground, and if one of the Titans receivers becomes healthy, this line will climb closer to 6 or 7.

Browns @ Chargers

Browns Win - Stake 3.5 Units, Minimum Odds 1.95, Best Book - Topsport

Browns Win - Stake 3.5 Units, Minimum Odds 1.95, Best Book - Topsport

The Chargers had a good win on Monday Night Football last week, and because of this, we have an inflated number on them. The Browns are a much stronger team than the Chargers on both offence and defence. The Browns are coming off a tight match against Minnesota and will be looking to roll through the Chargers to stay in contention for the number one seed. The Chargers have a shocking run defence, giving up over 160 yards in each of their first three matches and at least 90 yards to a runner in each of those matches. The Chargers were slightly better in run defence on Monday, but that was a poor game plan by the Raiders that didn't exploit this Chargers weakness. The Browns bread and butter is in the run game, and I can see them going for 180+ yards on the ground here. The Browns are in a great spot here with three straight home games on deck. This is my strongest play on the season so far.

Hi Team, It’s been a tough start to the season as our player prop sgm’s have been going against our statistical model. This week I will be looking to release only the top EV plays which means we may not have a play on all games. We will also see some player prop single bets come out as our model is predicting some huge positive EV plays for certain single events. I employ you to keep the faith team as I have been profitable year after year in the NFL. It’s a marathon, not a sprint and we still have almost 5 months of football to go.

Joe Mixon SGM - Stake 1.5 Units, Minimum Odds 2.4, Best Book - UNIBET

The Bengals have started the season hot, beating two teams that were supposed to have top tier defensive units. In the Bengals only previous home game this season, Mixon went off for 127 rushing yards and a touchdown which continues his home form from the last few seasons. Joe Mixon is the sole running back that is getting relevant carries on the Bengals. Mixon has carried the rock 67 times already this season compared to 6 carries for the backup Samaje Perine, who has been used predominantly as a pass-blocking back. The Jaguars have conceded five rushing touchdowns already this season and are conceding almost 120 rushing yards per game, and this is against pass-first teams. As good as the Bengals receiving core may look on paper, don’t forget this is a run-first team who will be playing a lot of 2 tight end sets with Tee Higgins out.

Early Line Release

Titans @ Jets

Titans -7.5 - Stake 2 Units, Minimum Odds 1.85, Best Book - UNIBET

Titans -7.5 - Stake 2 Units, Minimum Odds 1.85, Best Book - UNIBET

The Jets are terrible. This Jets team may even be worse than they were last season. On offence, Zach Wilson shows all the problems people liked to glance over when he came out of BYU. The Jets run game is non-existent, and they have a play-caller who is afraid to run the ball when they are more than a score behind. The Jets defence is almost identical to last season, even though they have Robert Salah, who has been a defensive wizard in the past. The Jets run defence is one of the worst in the league, and they struggle to slow drives down. The Titans have started the season slowly, but they look better each week, and Derrick Henry is coming into his own this season. Ryan Tannehill has had a slower start to the season, but this looks like a perfect spot for him to bounce back. The Titans have a high octane offence who put up many points very quickly, and the Jets are a team that has scored 20 points over three games. It’s the Titans all day for me.

Steelers @ Packers

Packers -6.5, Stake 2 Units, Minimum Odds 1.85, Best Book - Pointsbet

Packers -6.5, Stake 2 Units, Minimum Odds 1.85, Best Book - Pointsbet

The Packers are looking better each week and can show they can beat you multiple ways on offence. After a week one game that we can throw out, the Packers have shown they can beat you both downfield and with their backfield. The knock on the Packers is their defence, who has shown little ability to slow down the run game and are overly dependant on Jaire Alexander in the secondary. With that being said, the Steelers are utterly inept on offence this season and will struggle to put up points against even the worst defences. Ben Rothlisberger is in his final season (well, he better be) and is showing all the poise of an older man who should have retired three years ago. The Steelers offensive line is horrific, and they have had to alter their game plan to throw Najee Harris the ball because they cant create running space for him. The Packers are a strong team that will still be playing football in January. The Steelers are an overrated regressing team that will be getting an early start on the off-season.

Buccaneers @ Patriots

Buccaneers - 6.5 - Stake 2 Units, Minimum Odds 1.85, Best Book - Sportsmarket

Buccaneers - 6.5 - Stake 2 Units, Minimum Odds 1.85, Best Book - Sportsmarket

The Tom Brady vs Bill Belichick revenge game is one that everyone will be tuning in to watch. We need to think about this logically, and when we do, there is only one side that we can be on. The Patriots are a team that needs the run game to work to have any success. The Buccaneers have one of the best-run defences in the league. Tom Brady and the Bucs receivers feast on poor secondaries, and the Patriots have not been as good in the secondary as they have in previous seasons. Last week was the first game that Mac Jones started to face some pressure, and he responded with three interceptions with only one touchdown. The Bucs put up a tricky 24 points last week against the Rams, which will be their low watermark for the season. This match will be a record-setting match as well as Tom Brady should break the career passing yards record. This will be a great match to watch, and we will put another notch in the Tom Brady GOAT argument.

This Chelsea team is excellent and quickly looks to be the best team in the Premier League right now. Chelsea has only allowed one goal against them this season, and that was on a penalty that also resulted in a red card against Liverpool. Chelsea didn't lose that game. Manchester City has looked good against poor defences, but whenever a team has scripted their defence to play against them, they have not looked like a title-winning team. Manchester City has also only conceded one goal this season, but they have looked far less convincing doing it. The absence of a proper striker is starting to show on Man City, and it will affect their ability to hang in there with the top teams all season. The last three matches between these two teams have all been won by Chelsea, and I believe we are looking at an even better Chelsea side this season with goal threat Lukaku at the helm.

Norwich Win - Stake 1 Unit, Minimum Odds 5.5, Best Book - BET365

I have been a big supporter of Everton to begin the season, and I even liked them last week, knowing Dominic Calvert-Lewin would be out. The injuries of Richarlison and Jordan Pickford, however, caught me unaware. This week there is a slight chance Pickford could play, but it looks like DCE, Richarlison and Seamus Coleman will be left on the sidelines for this match. This gives Everton very little in attacking threat with fullback Lucas Digne not at full fitness either. Everton will likely start Solomon Rondon at striker again, which is a liability right now due to his lack of match fitness. Norwich has every chance to pick up their first win of the season and cause an upset that people will be talking about all weekend.

Leeds VS West Ham @00:00

West Ham Win - Stake 2 Units, Minimum Odds 2.2, Best Book - UNIBET

West Ham started hot this season, then came crashing back to earth as they failed to notch a win in their last three matches. This week, however, looks set up for West Ham to get back in the driver's seat and strike back in an intense matchup. Leeds have failed to notch a win this season, and their abysmal defence is the reason for that. Leeds have only stuck around in matches due to their striking prowess through Bamford and Raphina. However, Bamford is going to miss this match through injury, which creates a severe gap in the heart of the Leeds attack. West Ham is going to score their goals this week with the return of Antonio, and Leeds aren't going to be able to keep up.

Dolphins Win - Stake 1.5 Units, Minimum Odds 2.55, Best Book - UNIBET

Dolphins Win - Stake 1.5 Units, Minimum Odds 2.55, Best Book - UNIBET

There are not many good things you can say about last weeks Miami Dolphins; they just played poorly. Many people will be expecting us to see the same team out there, but if you believe this, you are sorely mistaken. The Bills defence entirely outclassed the Dolphins, and a mid-game quarterback change did nothing to help them. However, this is not the Bills defence (it's anything but,) and Jacoby Brissett has an entire week to plan for this game. Will Fuller will make his season debut this week, giving Brissett a plethora of downfield weapons to attack this poor Raiders secondary. The Dolphins defence is good; it's not elite, but it is still a top 10 unit, and they have playmakers across the field that can exploit a Raiders offence that has overplayed their potential to begin the season. The Raiders have worked hard to grab their first two wins against solid defences, but the defences that the Raiders have played are rugged physical units that beat you up, hurt you and tax your energy for the following week. I don't predict this match to be very high scoring, and Jacoby Brissett has plenty of NFL experience to compete here. There is also an adage in the NFL called the injured player theory, which shows a massive lift from teammates on the first game a top tier player is out. This is in full effect this week and plays right into the Dolphins hands.

Texans/Panthers SGM - Stake 1.5 Units, Minimum Odds 3.6, Best Book - Lads/Neds

We have our first non-conference Thursday night game and due to the quarterback issues for Houston, we cant attack this as hard as I usually do. Thursday night games are generally massive traps when the teams are out of conference or even division as there’s not enough time to plan for a team that you are not used to playing against. This week however the Texans will be rolling out rookie quarterback David Mills for his first career start so the nerves that the young man may have is keeping me off the side for this game. Robby Anderson has had a slightly slower start than what was expected this season, but that has given us a massive discount on his receiving yards total. Anderson has still seen 9 targets in the opening two weeks and accumulated 95 receiving yards and a touchdown. Anderson has also run the second-most routes on the Panthers and played on over 75% of the team’s snaps. David Johnson is in a three-headed running back committee in Houston but has a clearly defined role as the pass-catching specialist. Johnson has gone for 18 and 22 yards receiving in the first two weeks and will likely be heavily used this week as an outlet for rookie David Mills. Like all other running backs on this roster, Johnsons best days are behind him, but the Carolina pass rush and the skittish play of a rookie quarterback should see him used early and often. Christian McCaffrey is generally my go-to Carolina play, but this week he feels like a trap play. McCaffrey has dealt with injury problems throughout his career and it would make a lot of sense for Carolina to bench him early or manage his workload if they are up by two scores. The threat of this is keeping me off the McCaffrey overs and I wouldn’t have the guts to bet a weapon like him under the total.

Early Lines Week 3

We only have two early lines up right now as we wait to see a few injury reports. We will have more out before Sunday.

Colts @ Titans

Titans -6.5 Alternative Handicap - Stake 2 Units, Minimum Odds 1.9, Best Book - Sportsmarket

Titans -6.5 Alternative Handicap - Stake 2 Units, Minimum Odds 1.9, Best Book - Sportsmarket

NB. This is an alternate line as I can see the line crossing this and the all important number of 7. If you can only get -5/-5.5 then that is fine to take, as I predict this line to close at -7.5/-8.5.

In week one, the Titans had a shocker, then turned it around in week 2 to grab an away win against the Seahawks in an overtime thriller. The Titans defence is not good, and we all knew this was going into the season, but we saw life from the offence this week, and it's likely this is what we're going to see going forward. The Colts have been less than convincing with Carson Wentz under centre, and it's unlikely he will suit up this week. Usually, I like it when a teams backup gets their first game under centre, but unfortunately, Jacob Eason should not have a job in the NFL. This Colts team is not going to be able to do anything through the air with Eason. If Carson Wentz plays, he has two sprained ankles and will be utterly immobile behind an offensive line that has struggled in pass protection to start the season. Jump on this one before it moves.

Buccaneers @ Rams

Buccaneers Win - Stake 2 Units, Minimum Odds 1.87, Best Book - UNIBET

Buccaneers Win - Stake 2 Units, Minimum Odds 1.87, Best Book - UNIBET

The Buccaneers have come through with two wins to begin the season but have not looked close to finishing last season. The Bucs Offense has been firing, but their defence has been struggling in the secondary. The Bucs secondary struggles; it helps to have Tom Brady as your quarterback, so you are never worried about being in a shootout. The Rams have come through with two wins to begin the season, but they have not come without questions. On offence, the Rams run game looks shaky at best and will struggle against the Bucs staunch front line. I also want to see how the Rams passing game goes if Stafford has to throw to anyone other than Cooper Kupp. However, the most significant question marks for the Rams come on defence, where their secondary looks well below par outside of Jalen Ramsey. Ramsey will be moving around the field all day trying to take out one of the Bucs weapons; however, there are just too many for him to cover. There aren't many games where we can take the Buccaneers at a pick 'em price.

These teams struggled to begin the season, and both went into last week with no points and no goals scored. The tides turned for both teams as they pulled out their first wins last week, and I can see them both continuing their winning form. Arsenal struggled with injuries to begin the season, and they couldn't defend to save their lives. Arsenal is starting to get a lot healthier, and I believe Ramsdale is the type of goalkeeper who can turn their season around. I'm looking towards Aubameyang to go on a nice goal-scoring run. After getting unlucky in each of their first three games, wolves got a nice win over Watford last week. Wolves have been running all season freely and getting the ball into the box at a rate that is at the top of the league. Wolves only problems were a demanding starting schedule and a few poor shot choices. Now that Wolves have grabbed a couple of goals, I see them gaining momentum and starting to climb the table.

Watford Win - Stake 1.5 Units, Minimum Odds 3.2, Best Book - Unibet

We have a battle of two teams here that have struggled to begin their campaigns and don't project to get much better this season. Norwich has had a demanding schedule to start the season, but they haven't shown much in those games. In week one, Watford got a tremendous upset win and struggled again against a demanding schedule. Watford has had the edge over Norwich in recent history, winning the last four matches straight, including both games in the Championship last year. I have more faith in Watford's lineup and defence right now, and we're getting them over the odds.

Aston Villa VS Everton @02:30

Everton Win - Stake 1.5 Units, Minimum Odds 3.0, Best Book - Unibet

We have another over the odds play here, once again on Everton. The bookies continue to disrespect Everton in the betting market as they have all season, which has hurt them so far. Dominic Calvert-Lewin will miss this game, but Everton has Richarlison, who can play the middle and Townsend and Gray, who have been brilliant so far this season to cover the edges. Aston Villa has not looked good to start the season and only has one win against a poor Newcastle team. It will take the new Aston Villa attack time to gather their chemistry, and let's be honest; their defence hasn't been good for a long time. If the bookies keep giving us lines that are too high, we will continue to exploit them.

Newcastle/Leeds, Over 3.5 Goals - Stake 1.5 Units, Minimum Odds 2.5, Best Book - Sportmarket

We have a battle of two teams that have struggled so far to begin the season. Both Newcastle and Leeds are yet to record a win this season and have conceded a mammoth 23 goals between them. This match is going to be a must-win game for both sides, who will see this as their best opportunity so far this season to get a win on the board. This season Leeds have had four or more goals scored in their games 2 out of 4 times, and Newcastle has had four or more goals in 3 out of 4 games. Last season we saw a 2-1 victory and a 5-2 victory both to Leeds in this matchup. We look to be in for an exciting game as both sides get forward and try to get their first win of the season.

The Packers are coming off a loss that was downright embarrassing for them. The Lions are coming off a loss that doesn’t look too bad if you strictly look at the scores. This is exactly why I can see the Lions getting blown out this week. Aaron Rodgers and the Packers always bounce back strong after a win and I can see them blowing the Lions out of the water early and letting Aaron Jones finish the game off. Last season the Packers lost 3 games and in the game after that Davante Adams averaged over 140 yards receiving and scored every time. This week the matchup for both Adams and Lazard is extreme and they have my 1st and 4th best wide receiver matchups of the week. Aaron Jones comes in with my 3rd best running back matchup against this poor Detroit run defence who allowed over 100 rush yards to San Francisco’s number 3 running back last week. The only reason i’m not laying the -11.5 on the Lions, is I have a rule to not give double digits out on divisional games. We are getting some awesome prop numbers this week thanks to last weeks results. We likely won’t see these numbers again for the rest of the season so we need to strike while they’re low.

This predicts out to be a low scoring game, but both Gibson and Thomas get positive matchups against the Giants. Antonio Gibson will be the focal point of this offence with Taylor Heinicke at quarterback. Last week Gibson went off for a solid 90-yard game and faced a tougher run defence than the Giants have. The Giants surrendered 165 rushing yards last week to the Broncos. Logan Thomas looks to be in for a big game as one of Heinicke’s favourite targets. Heinicke sent Logan Thomas all of his targets last week and when he started his one game last season, Thomas had 5 receptions on 9 targets for 74 yards. The Giants allowed 62 yards to the Broncos number one tight end last week.

Early Line NFL

“One game does not a season make”

Each week I will be dropping early tips for the NFL where I expect to see line movement before we get to game time. These may not always end up moving, or occasionally due to unknown circumstances, the activity may go the other way. Still, the majority of the time, we will end up beating the closing line. Through years of research and my betting history, I have learnt that these early lines can be crucial, as what is a good bet at the start of the week may not be so good by kick-off. NFL is a sport that has some essential numbers where games tend to fall in both totals and point spreads, and getting to the right side of these numbers can be one of the most critical parts of NFL betting.

Patriots @ Jets

Patriots -5.5 - Stake 2 Units, Minimum Odds 1.87, Best Book - BET365

Patriots -5.5 - Stake 2 Units, Minimum Odds 1.87, Best Book - BET365

The Patriots were unlucky to lose last week after they fumbled the ball late in scoring territory. Apart from this late fumble Mac Jones looked good, and the running game looked great. The Patriots defence looks solid, with the secondary being a slight concern, but this won't matter against the Jets and a rookie quarterback. If you look at the Jets score against the Panthers, you may be tricked into thinking this was a close game, but in reality, it was anything but. The Jets also lost a tonne of players to injury. One thing I love in this game is the coaching and, in particular, Bill Belichick. Belichick has an incredible record when facing opposing rookie quarterbacks and knows precisely how to gameplan against them. Belichick is also scary coming off a loss with the best record in the NFL in that category.

49ers @ Eagles

49ers -3.5 - Stake 2 Units, Minimum Odds 1.9, Best Book - Sportmarket

49ers -3.5 - Stake 2 Units, Minimum Odds 1.9, Best Book - Sportmarket

The 49ers were rolling against the Lions last week until a late Lions rally against mostly 49ers backups brought them back into the game. Trust me when I say we won't see this late-game complacency this week after the 49ers get to rev up at training. The 49ers had three injuries in their win, one was Dre Greenlaw which looks like a minor groin injury and is likely to play, and the other 2 were Raheem Mostert and Jason Verrett, who will both miss the rest of the season. The Mostert is mitigated by the 49ers having the deepest running back stable in the league. The Verrett injury opens the door for free agent Dre Kirkpatrick and likely Richard Sherman. The Eagles showed promise on offence against Atlanta, but we will see that Atlanta may be the easy beats of the entire league over the next few weeks. An excellent connection between Jalen Hurts and Rookie Devonta Smith and Miles Sanders showed moments of competence, but this offence is rather vanilla apart from these players. Defensively the Eagles are a shadow of their former selves and lack speed across the board, something the 49ers have in spades. My favourite part of this game is that the 49ers decided to stay in Virginia for the week to mitigate the travelling effect on them. When teams choose to do this, it generally translates to improved performance in the second week. Not only will the 49ers not have any jetlag or time zone issues, but they will spend a week together gelling as a team and improving their comradery.

Raiders @ Steelers

Steelers/Raiders Under 47 - Stake 2 Units, Minimum Odds 1.89, Best Book - Sportmarket

Steelers/Raiders Under 47 - Stake 2 Units, Minimum Odds 1.89, Best Book - Sportmarket

What a performance from the Raiders in a gutsy win over the Ravens. What stands out the most for me in that match was the Raiders pass rush. Maxx Crosby looks to have ascended to the next level, and Carl Nassib was excellent deputising for Yannick Ngakoue. The Steelers offensive line is still full of holes, and the Raiders defensive line should win the battle in the trenches. For the Steelers, their defence well and indeed won them the game against the Bills, and this is what they will be leaning on all season. Ben Roethlisberger looks the worst I've seen him for a while. The decline is well and truly on for Big Ben, and I doubt he sees the season out as the starter. The Steelers have been a great Underplay for the last few seasons as Big Ben has been in his decline, and we have another excellent opportunity to exploit a total that is set too high.

Spurs Win - Stake 2 Units, Minimum Odds 1.95, Best Book - UNIBET

Spurs Win - Stake 2 Units, Minimum Odds 1.95, Best Book - UNIBET

Spurs are top of the Premier League table right now. I'm just going to let that sink in for a second, and then we can decipher why this is. It has nothing to do with the Spurs attack, which has looked out of sorts without an in-form Harry Kane. On the other hand, the Spurs defence has been brilliant and is yet to concede a goal in their first three games. Nuno has brought his defensive managerial style from Wolves, and it seems to suit the Spurs personally. This week will be the first time we see a presumably in form Harry Kane, even if Son will sit out. Crystal Palace has blanked in 2 of their opening three matches, which will be the most formidable defence they have faced. This sets up to be the match that makes us all remember just how good Harry Kane is.

Leicester VS Man City @00:00

Leicester Win - Stake 1 Unit, Minimum Odds 5.4, Best Book - BET365

Leicester Win - Stake 1 Unit, Minimum Odds 5.4, Best Book - BET365

Leicester is a team that has started slow this season but has an excellent record of knocking off the top clubs in the competition. Manchester City has won their last two games by 5-0; they failed to get on the scoreboard in their only other away matches. The Foxes are beginning to get healthier, especially in their defensive line, and The Cityzens will be missing key players across the park. The most notable absentees for Man City are Kevin De Bruyne, and presumably, Ederson and Jesus due to the Brazilian invoked five-day ban. If Man City miss these players, they are going to be vulnerable to the giant-killing Leicester side.

Man United VS Newcastle @00:00

Man United -2.5 - Stake 1 Unit, Minimum Odds 2.35, Best Book - Sportsbet

Man United -2.5 - Stake 1 Unit, Minimum Odds 2.35, Best Book - Sportsbet

This is a -2.5 line however some books offer a draw option, so the overall bet is for Man United to win by 3 or more.

Manchester United started the season brilliantly at home with their 5-1 win over Leeds. United then struggled to replicate that form in two low scoring matches away from home. This week United returned to Old Trafford with a terrible defence in front of them in the form of Newcastle. Newcastle has conceded eight goals already this season, and the pain looks to continue this week as Man United return an old face in Christiano Ronaldo. Ronaldo may not live up to the heights of his first stint at United, but I still expect him to be a goal machine. Newcastle will struggle to score without Callum Wilson in the lineup.

Southampton VS West Ham @ 00:00

West Ham Win - Stake 2 Units, Minimum Odds 2.3, Best Book - UNIBET

West Ham Win - Stake 2 Units, Minimum Odds 2.3, Best Book - UNIBET

West Ham started the season red hot before coming back to earth with a 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace last time out. This West Ham team looks strong right now, and the only teams that will give them difficulties are those with top-tier defensive units. This Southampton team is not a strong defence after conceding six goals to begin the season. West Ham has all the ability in the world to beat Southampton in what could be a high scoring match.

Watford VS Wolves @00:00

Wolves Win - Stake 1.5 Units, Minimum Odds 2.2, Best Book - UNIBET

Wolves Win - Stake 1.5 Units, Minimum Odds 2.2, Best Book - UNIBET

Wolves are one of three teams that have begun the season without a win and are one of 2 teams that have yet to score a goal. This start is very contradictory to how Wolves have been playing, as they have constantly been getting the ball into strong positions to achieve and look much better than their current table position. It has been a tough run of fixtures for Wolves, but that is about to turn as they have a favourable run ahead, starting tomorrow. On the other hand, Watford has failed to score in their last two matches and look entirely different for the team that got an upset win in week 1. Watford has recruited wisely since the season began, but their team has gone a lot older and slower. This is going to hurt against the fast fringes of the Wolves attack.

We’re getting overs here on the Antonio Brown props and it’s set up nicely to attack an SGM. Brown has looked in some of the best form he’s been in for years and a year getting to work with Tom Brady will increase their chemistry. In the playoffs, last season Brown was the go-to guy and I expect this to continue. Don’t be surprised if Brown ends this season with the most receiving yards and touchdowns on this Bucs side.

Hello, World!

Early Line NFL

Each week I will be dropping early tips for the NFL where I expect to see line movement before we get to game time. These may not always end up moving, or occasionally due to unknown circumstances, the activity may go the other way. Still, the majority of the time, we will end up beating the closing line. Through years of research and my betting history, I have learnt that these early lines can be crucial, as what is a good bet at the start of the week may not be so good by kick-off. NFL is a sport that has some essential numbers where games tend to fall in both totals and point spreads, and getting to the right side of these numbers can be one of the most critical parts of NFL betting.

Cowboys @ Buccaneers

The defending champion Buccaneers go up against one of last seasons disappointments to open the season. I can only see this game going one way, and that’s with a Bucs win. The Bucs are more potent on offence, defence, special teams and have a significant coaching advantage. The Cowboys will be encouraged by their quarterback Dak Prescott's return, but limited training with the first team will see the Cowboys start slowly. The Cowboys defence last season was amongst the league-worst, and although they have taken steps to fix that this season their secondary remains poor. Zach Martin, the Cowboys all-pro guard, will miss this game on the Covid list, which exposes a fragile interior offensive line. The Bucs will get Ndamukong Suh back in time for this game, who will partner with Vita Vea to attack the weak Cowboys O-Line and apply pressure on Dak Prescott all game. The Superbowl champions start this season the way they ended the last.

Bucs -8 - Stake 2.5 Units, Minimum Odds 1.9, Best Book - Topsport

Bucs -8 - Stake 2.5 Units, Minimum Odds 1.9, Best Book - Topsport

Steelers @ Bills

This predicts a one-sided matchup on the opening weekend with two teams heading in opposite directions. The Bills made the conference championship last season thanks to a breakout season from quarterback Josh Allen. The Steelers, however, started the season 11-0 then had a monumental collapse which saw them lose a home playoff game to the Browns. A lot of the Steelers collapse can be attributed to their injury issues and poor offensive line play; however that may not get better this season. The Steelers offensive line is an almost entirely new group with a significant drop in talent that will struggle to protect Big Ben and create spaces for rookie Najee Harris. The one thing you can’t deny for the Steelers is their elite defence. The Steelers may not score a lot of points, but they are unlikely to concede many either. The Bills threw the ball a lot last season as their run game became inefficient; however, I expect to change this season as Zach Moss and Devin Singletary have an offseason together to embrace the offence. The Bills defensively were substantial last season and will follow the guidance of elite linebacker Matt Milano. I’ll take the under here.

Steelers/Bills Under 48.5 - Stake 2 Units, Minimum Odds 1.89, Best Book - Sportsmarket

Steelers/Bills Under 48.5 - Stake 2 Units, Minimum Odds 1.89, Best Book - Sportsmarket

Chargers @ Football Team

The Chargers are coming into this season with lofty expectations, which I believe are misplaced. The Chargers may have been an unlucky side last year, losing a handful of one-possession games but don’t be fooled by their schedule, which sees them play a bunch of poor matchups. The Chargers have improved their offensive line but not enough to hold up against the defensive fronts they will face all season. The Chargers are also a fragile team depth-wise, and any injury will derail their season when it comes to groups that can expose the Chargers weaknesses, look no further than the Washington Football Team. Washington has one of the best defences in the league and will tell the Chargers lack of weapons and versatility early in the game. The Football Teams Offense may not be as imposing as their defence, but they play very fast in the screen game and have added extra speed on the outside. This will be enough to get past the Chargers ageing slower defence. I’ll take Washington outright.

Washington Football Team Win - Stake 2 Units, Minimum Odds 1.9, Best Book - UNIBET

Dolphins @ Patriots

This Patriots side has come on in leaps and bounds from the 7-9 rebuilding train wreck they produced last season. Mac Jones has shown and said all the right things since he was drafted this season, and the Patriots have the mentor structure in place to help him learn on the job. The Patriots may look shy of attacking weapons, but their roster is tailor-made for a rookie quarterback to succeed with two solid tight ends and a strong receiving backfield. Thanks to some savvy free-agent pickups that will fit perfectly into the system, the Patriots' defence will also be a lot stronger. The Dolphins, however, are surrounded in question marks outside of cornerback. I still doubt Tua Tagovailoas ability to produce at this level, especially with one of the worst running games in the league. The Dolphins left tackle Austin Jackson will miss this game, and they will struggle against the Patriots multiple front attacks. The Dolphins' secondary is strong, but I have huge questions about their pass rush and run-stopping ability. It looks like it’s going to be a long day for the Dolphins in Foxborough.

Patriots -3 - Stake 1.5 Units, Minimum Odds 1.9, Best Book - BET365

Patriots -3 - Stake 1.5 Units, Minimum Odds 1.9, Best Book - BET365

Bears @ Rams

Our Sunday Night Football game puts 2 teams against each other who have had stout defences over the last few seasons. This Season however both teams have taken a step back due to the price elite defence commands. Both of these teams will remain strong upfront but it is in the secondary where we will see drop-offs in production. With that being said however both teams have question marks over their offence and scoring potential this year. The Rams are entering year 1 with Matthew Stafford under centre and although there are receiving weapons for him, the lack of a run game will be testing. The Bears will be trotting out an ageing backup QB in Andy Dalton, who will sit behind a leaky offensive line and throw to unpolished route runners, outside of Allen Robinson who will be shadowed by Jalen Ramsey all game. The Rams game plan, especially in home games is to get a lead and then work the clock which I thoroughly expect them to do, however, that could make this game a tedious watch. I’ll go with the under.

Aston Villa Win - Stake 3 Units, Minimum Odds 1.9, Best Book - Sportmarket

Aston Villa looked strong last week on their bounce back from their week 1 upset. We are still seeing lines that are heavily influenced by week 1s results. Brentford will have an exposed defence when they face a stronger attacking side like Villa. We saw last week that Aston Villa play much better in front of their own fans and it will be hard for Brentford to play back to back road matches. Remember even though Brentford are yet to concede this campaign, they had the weakest defence of the promoted teams entering the season.

Brighton VS Everton @00:00

Everton Win - Stake 2 Units, Minimum Odds 3.0, Best Book - BET365

Everton was very unlucky not to get the win last week in a game they dominated for most of the 90 minutes. Brighton’s Neal Maupay was injured last week and is questionable to play this week. Maupay has played well this season and it’s going to be difficult for Brighton to create chances if he doesn’t play. These first few weeks are some of the best betting weeks as teams like Everton are undervalued.

Newcastle Win - Stake 1.5 Units, Minimum Odds 2.3, Best Book - Sportmarket

Newcastle was very unlucky in their home opener, as they were in control of the game until West Ham decided to put the foot down. Newcastle has traditionally been a much better team at home and I see them reprieving their week 1 form. Southampton played well against Manchester United last week, but I still see this side as a lot weaker than they have been in prior campaigns. Southampton will have to rely on their weakened defence as their attack will struggle to net them more than 1 goal in most of their games this season.

West Ham VS Crystal Palace @00:00

West Ham -1.5 - Stake 1.5 Units, Minimum Odds 2.4, Best Book - Sportmarket

West Ham -1.5 - Stake 1.5 Units, Minimum Odds 2.4, Best Book - Sportmarket

What a start to the season for West Ham. West Ham sits deservedly at the top of the table and has another excellent opportunity to build on their lead. The Crystal Palace defence will struggle this season and the incredible play of Antonio and Benrahma will tear them apart this week. The West Ham victory is a bit square but to win by 2 or more goals still seems incredibly likely for a team that has scored 4 goals in each of their matches.

Each week I will be releasing my tips and predictions video detailing where I stand on each and every game of the season. This is not a betting video but merely my predictions. This does however break down my thoughts on why I expect games might turn out certain ways. Some of our bets may contrast what is said in these videos as we find increased value in betting on the other side. West Ham VS Leicester @05:00 ( Tuesday)

West Ham Win - Stake 2 Units, Minimum Odds 2.4, Best Book - Sportmarket

West Ham Win - Stake 2 Units, Minimum Odds 2.4, Best Book - Sportmarket

West Ham showed their brilliance in the opening week with an impressive 4-2 victory over Newcastle. Although Newcastle was in that game until a 15 minute period where West Ham scored 3 goals, West Ham slowly shut the Magpies down through a determined game plan. At home last season, West Ham boasted the second-best record in the league behind only Man City and also beat Leicester in both fixtures. Leicester will still be missing some of their first choice defenders with James Justin, Johnny Evans and Wesley Fofana still sidelined. West Ham has virtually a full squad to pick from. Leicesters outing last week was far from convincing, and they had to squeak by Wolves with some ageing Vardy brilliance.

Southampton VS Man United @23:00

Southampton/Man United Over 3.5 Goals - Stake 1.5 Units, Minimum Odds 2.65, Best Book - Sportmarket

Southampton/Man United Over 3.5 Goals - Stake 1.5 Units, Minimum Odds 2.65, Best Book - Sportmarket

We have a great spot in this game to bet a great value Total Goals Over prop. Southampton looks to have one of the worst defences in the competition and they fell apart late in their game week 1 match. Manchester United had a great start to the season and they will look to continue their strong start into this match. Last week Southampton played in a 4 goal match and Manchester United was a part of a 6 goal destruction. In the last 6 matches between these teams, 5 of them have gone over 3.5 goals, including a 9-0 and a 3-2 match last season. Let’s sit back and enjoy yet another goal-fest in this match-up.

Wolves VS Spurs @ 23:00

Wolves Win - Stake 1.5 Units, Minimum Odds 3.05, Best Book - BET365

Wolves Win - Stake 1.5 Units, Minimum Odds 3.05, Best Book - BET365

This is a spot where a lot of people are high on Spurs since they managed to defeat the defending champions in game week 1. Spurs played well in the second half but showed they are still learning the new system in the first stanza. Wolves played very well in their road contest against Leicester and were unlucky to get undone by some Jamie Vardy brilliance. Generally, people expect a former manager to get the wood over their former side as they know players strengths and weaknesses, however, I feel it will be the other way round with the Wolves players knowing what to expect from the Spurs formation and tactics. There is a small chance Harry Kane suits up for this match, but I do think he will come off the bench if he does make an appearance.

Aston Villa VS Newcastle@21.30

Aston Villa Win - Stake 2 Units, Minimum Odds 1.75, Best Book - Sportsmarket

Aston Villa Win - Stake 2 Units, Minimum Odds 1.75, Best Book - Sportsmarket

Aston Villa will be a lot better for the run out last week and showed towards the end of the match that they can piece it together when they need to. The first match in front of their home fans will cause this Villa outfit to step their game up, and I expect them to stay solid at the back.

Crystal Palace VS Brentford @00:00

Crystal Palace Win - Stake 1.5 Units, Minimum Odds 2.45, Best Book - Sportmarket

Crystal Palace Win - Stake 1.5 Units, Minimum Odds 2.45, Best Book - Sportmarket

Crystal Palace will be healthier this week as they continue to get players back. Palace was outclassed in their opener against Chelsea but with the home crowd behind them and a promoted side in front of them, they are worth their favourite tag. Brentford played well last week, but Arsenal looked so bad that there was some overvaluing of the Brentford outfit going on.

Leeds VS Everton @00:00

Everton Win - Stake 2 Units, Minimum Odds 2.8, Best Book - Sportmarket

Everton Win - Stake 2 Units, Minimum Odds 2.8, Best Book - Sportmarket

Everton overcame a slow start to finish strongly and grab a well deserved 3-1 win last week. Everton like Aston Villa look to be a lot healthier for the runout and this Everton side will keep getting better as Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison gain field time. Leeds was atrocious last week against Man United and they continue their terrible record when Kalvin Phillips is out. Phillips is a 50:50 shot to play this week but will be still on one leg if he does suit up and it could hinder their defence even more.

How To

  1. Use Betting Units. Set your total amount of money to bet with for today and divided it by 100. That is how much each unit is. E.G if you have $1000 / 100 = $10 Units.

  2. Follow the staking advice.

  3. Check the number of units to stake in the caption of each photo.

  4. Always try to use the Best Odds advised.

Hi, team were finally here at the first game week of the season. It feels like football hasn’t been gone for long with the Euros and Olympics feeding our fix during the break. This season I will be releasing all of my Best Bets so we can beat the bookies together. I have been following the premier league for as long as I can remember and successfully betting and tipping the competition over the last few seasons. This year is going to be great as we get the crowds back, which usually helps us to get excellent value out of the bookies as the home dogs start to bark. I will not be releasing a tip on every game as I have found that’s not a successful blueprint to building profit. I hope you all enjoy the Premier League this season and join me in continuing to build our bankroll on the Caveman Tips product!!

Premier League

Gameweek 1 of 38

All times are in AEST

Sunday 15th August

Newcastle VS West Ham @ 23:00

Newcastle Win - Stake 1.5 Units, Minimum Odds 3.05, Best Book - Sportmarket

Newcastle Win - Stake 1.5 Units, Minimum Odds 3.05, Best Book - Sportmarket

What a record Newcastle have over West Ham, with wins in 4 of their last 5 matchups and 7 of their last 10. Newcastle grabbed the double over West Ham last season including an away victory in their week 1 tilt 2-0. Newcastle has a great record of starting strong in the premier league, winning their last 5 opening fixtures and holding a clean sheet in their last 4. West Ham on the other hand has lost their last 5 opening week fixtures. The only issue for Newcastle is they will be down to their #3 goalkeeper, although Newcastle has a history of developing good goalkeepers and Woodman has had plenty of loan experience. The home ground advantage looks to be back and in full force with 6 of 8 home teams winning this weekend, including some good upsets by Brentford and Watford.

Saturday 14th August

Brentford VS Arsenal @ 05:00

Arsenal Win - Stake 2 Units, Minimum Odds 1.78, Best Book - Sportmarket

Arsenal Win - Stake 2 Units, Minimum Odds 1.78, Best Book - Sportmarket

Arsenal is entering a season where they need to return to relevance or risk falling further out of relevance. A statement win over promoted side Brentford will help them to ease some of the criticism. Arsenal has a lineup that is packed full of high upside young players and they began to show their potential at the end of last season. Promoted sides usually don’t fare well in the opening week of the season, as the nerves and emotion get to them.

Manchester United VS Leeds @ 21:30

Manchester United Win & Score before 50 Minutes - Stake 1.5 Units, Minimum Odds 3.0, Best Book - Pointsbet

Manchester United Win & Score before 50 Minutes - Stake 1.5 Units, Minimum Odds 3.0, Best Book - Pointsbet

This is a special bet found at Pointsbet only. There is not too much value betting on Manchester United outright but the Pointsbet special offers us an enticing view on the match. The last 5 times that Manchester United have played in the opening week of the competition they have a record of 5-0 and have scored in the first half of each of their matches. With fans in the stand, this is going to pump up the Red Devils to get on the scoresheet early. In this fixture last season, United managed a 6-2 victory with 3 early goals.

Sunday 15th August

Everton VS Southampton @ 00:00

Everton Win - Stake 2 Units, Minimum Odds 1.85, Best Book - Sportmarket

Everton Win - Stake 2 Units, Minimum Odds 1.85, Best Book - Sportmarket

Everton is entering the season with a very similar team that they had last season, minus Gylfi Sigurdsson, but that’s all ill say about that. On the other hand, Southampton will likely be missing their 2 best players from the last campaign, with James Ward-Prowse likely out with injury and Danny Ings off to greener pastures. This leaves Southampton with a very poor attacking front and few options to help progress the ball. Defensively Southampton is terrible after conceding the second-most goals last season. Everton has a slight question mark over striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin, but I expect him to play after resting up over the last week.

Leicester VS Wolves @ 00:00

Wolves Win - Stake 1 Unit, Minimum Odds 5.0, Best Book - Sportmarket

Wolves Win - Stake 1 Unit, Minimum Odds 5.0, Best Book - Sportmarket

Leicester is coming into this season with a lot more question marks than they usually have in week 1. The Leicester defence is already on life support with 3 regular first-teamers expected to miss week 1 which will force them into a defensive tussle. Wolves have a new coach but are still built from back to front and will be able to play a hard-pressing game to attack the poor Foxes defence. Wolves get talisman striker Raul Jiminez back this season and he will need to be the answer to their goal deficit from last season. I’m not a huge fan of the Leicester attack this season as we began to see regression from Jamie Vardy last season. The Foxes best chance may be if they move Harrison Barnes into a high attacking role, which I can’t see them doing. There is great value on Wolves here in a match that should be closer to a pick’em.
