The Football Team was hit hard with Covid 19 earlier in the week but is beginning to look healthier outside of the quarterback position. The Football Team will be starting Garrett Gilbert at quarterback today, who I don’t mind as a player. In short, with all of the issues surrounding both teams and in what I expect to be a low scoring match, 9 points is simply too many.

We have seen through all the games that have been affected by Covid-19 this week that points have been hard to come by. This is a game where I would be looking towards the under in points anyway let alone with the disrupted schedules for both teams. The Rams have started to get a few players back from the Covid list, where the Seahawks are trending in the opposite direction. Either way, this looks to be a tough hard-fought match between 2 teams that still have a lot to do to have any hope for the playoffs.

We are all in on Dalvin Cook in the Monday Night Football match. Cook had a fantastic match last week and looks to be fully healthy for a terrific match-up this week against an undermanned Chicago defence. The Bears will be without their entire starting secondary which you would generally think leads to more passing yards, however, this will force the Bears to play higher in coverage allowing bigger running lanes for Dalvin Cook. The Vikings are a run-first team even though they have one of the best-receiving duos in the league.

Disclaimer: We have a lot of players questionable and out due to Covid 19. With all the player’s outs, I find it difficult to back our usual SGMs and multis. This week we will be keeping our bets down to singles and a few doubles. I am expecting a lower yield due to this but I believe it is a safer play than going with players that will be under different roles or in different schemes. I am backing a lot more totals and spreads this weak to negate the reliance on single players in these situations.

The Patriots have allowed the 4th most receiving yards to opposing running backs this season and have allowed over this mark in all but 1 non-blizzard match. Hunter Henry has passed this receiving number in 9 of 12 non-blizzard matches this season. The Colts have allowed the 3rd most receiving yards to opposing tight ends this season. In the past 4 matches, the Colts have allowed a mammoth 320 receiving yards to tight ends. If you can bet at Lads or Neds, they have significantly better odds up for this combo.

The Chiefs are on a roll right now with their offence finally flowing and looking more consistent. On defence, the Chiefs have played some of their best football in recent weeks and it fits the trend they started last season with their defence playing better in the second half of the season. This week both teams have been hit by the huge influx of Covid-19 cases predominantly on the defensive side of the ball. Most people would think this will lead to a higher scoring game, however on a Thursday night with less prep and a divisional rivalry, these teams will just want to get in and get out. The Chiefs will want to get a lead early then work the clock with their running game and short completions to Travis Kelce.
