UFC Vegas 59 Betting Tips

How To

  1. We Use Betting Units, do this by setting your total amount of money to bet with for today and dividing it by 100. That is how much each unit is. E.G if you have $1000 / 100 = $10 Units.

  2. It is up to you, but we strongly suggest following the staking advice.

UFC Vegas 59
Santos
VS
Hill

Sunday 7th August

Jason Witt VS Josh Quinlan

Josh Quinlan Via KO/TKO
Stake 2.5 Units
Minimum Odds 2.0
Best Book - Sportsbet

This is a very self-explanatory spot as we look to take a big hitter in Quinlan against one of the weakest chins in the UFC in Witt. Witt will look to get this fight to the mat, however, any time this fight is on the feet, Quinlan is only one punch away from finishing the fight. Witt’s time in the UFC may be done after this fight.

Augusto Sakai VS Sergey Spivak

Sergey Spivak Via KO/TKO
Stake 1.75 Units
Minimum Odds 2.6
Best Book - UNIBET

Augusto Sakai was looking good in his early UFC career however his wins haven’t aged well, and he’s been knocked out in his last three fights. Spivak is a middling heavyweight who can’t keep up with the pace of the better fighters in the division but has a tailored matchup against the slow, plodding Sakai. Spivak will have a speed, and a wrestling advantage and will likely work the ground n pound once the fight hits the mat.

Zac Pauga VS Mohammed Usman

Zac Pauga Via Decision
Stake 2 Units
Minimum Odds 2.4
Best Book - Lads/Neds

Mohammed Usman is the brother of welterweight champion Kamaru Usman; however, like most brothers in the UFC, there is a good and a poor fighter. Mohammed is a slow fighter with stamina issues but also lacks the top-end power to compensate for his lack of cardio and fight IQ. Pauga looks like a decent fighter who will drop down to light-heavyweight when he fights next. Pauga trains with Curtis Blaydes at elevation, so will be well used to pushing to the later stages of the fight. Pauga is not a prolific finisher and will be able to score better with either the striking or grappling than Usman.

Vicente Luque VS Geoff Neal

Vicente Luque Via Decision
Stake 1.5 Units
Minimum Odds 3.2
Best Book - Pointsbet

Luque is coming off a fight where he was dominated through the wrestling, but he gets a much better match-up against Neal, who is not a prolific wrestler. Luque has hard strikes and a nasty D’arce choke; however, Neal has proven to be very tough to finish and should push Luque to the scorecards.

Thiago Santos VS Jamahal Hill

Hill/Santos Fight Doesn’t Go The Distance
Stake 1.25 Units
Minimum Odds 3.3
Best Book - Lads/Neds

This is a value play with a price well over the odds. Hill has heavy hands, but Santos has shown his durability throughout his career. Both of these fighters are capable of going to the late stages of this fight. Is there a chance this fight finishes early? absolutely, but the odds are off due to the recency bias toward Hill. The most likely way for this fight to the finish is by a Hill KO, which could even come in the first round. However, we are playing the odds, and I would rate this fight to go the distance closer to the $3.30 mark than the great odds we are getting.
