If Nelson were a points or power fighter, I would want no part of him with such a big layoff, but with the way Nelson grapples, it will likely only take one successful takedown to get this to the ground and get Sato to tap. Sato is just not good enough when this gets to the mat. Nelson has won 12 of his 17 wins by submission and won 16 times in the distance.

Paddy Pimblett VS Rodrigo Vargas

The hype train is real with Paddy the Baddy, and it's easy to get behind him while he is fed cans. After a KO in his first UFC fight, many people forget that Pimblett is a grappler first and foremost, and his striking is still a work in progress. Vargas has shown his wrestling is one of the weaker parts of his game, and the grappling will be Paddy's easiest way to victory. Pimblett looks to be an easy fighter to back until he faces worthy opposition.

Arnold Allen VS Dan Hooker

Dan Hooker is moving down to featherweight for this fight, and a lot of the argument is that he is cutting too much weight. I expect Hooker to get this done at the scorecards, but I can't rule out his power coming with him and getting Allen out early.

Tom Aspinall has a massive hype train behind him, and his quick knockouts make him a fan favourite. Aspinall has fought nothing but cans, depending on where you stand on Sergey Spivak and is facing a huge step up in competition this week against the 6'7" Russian. Volkov has been fighting only the best in the division and has stood toe to toe with each of them. Although Volkov's volume has let him down at times, he will have a huge advantage here in the cardio aspect. Aspinall is an untested fighter who hasn't seen the 3rd round or fought in front of fans in the UFC. There is every chance that Aspinall could prove that he is one of the best in the division by getting an early KO of Volkov, but if this fight gets extended even into the 2nd round, Volkov will begin to take over. There are too many question marks on Aspinall at this early stage of his career.
