UFC Fight Night Betting Tips

How To

  1. Use Betting Units. Set your total amount of money to bet with for today and divided it by 100. That is how much each unit is. E.G if you have $1000 / 100 = $10 Units.

  2. Follow the staking advice.

  3. Check the number of units to stake in the caption of each photo. See the example below.

  4. Always try to use the Best Odds Bookmaker.

UFC Vegas 48
Walker
VS
Hill

Sunday 20th February

Prelims

Jonathan Pearce VS Christian Rodriguez

Jonathan Pearce Double Chance, KO/TKO or Sub - Stake 2.5 Units, Minimum Odds 1.72, Best Book - BET365

JSP is big. JSP is one of the biggest fighters for the weight class and is coming in against a debutant who should probably be fighting down a division. Rodriguez is a fighter that projects out well and should have success in the UFC; however, this is a mammoth test for his first fight. JSP is more than capable of finishing this fight by either Submission or ground and pound. JSP is proficient in all facids of the game and will likely use his size to overpower Rodriguez and smoother him on the mat.

Gabriel Benitez VS David Onama

David Onama by KO/TKO - Stake 2 Units, Minimum Odds 2.3, Best Book - Pointsbet

David Onama had a brilliant debut even in losing against Mason Jones. Onama looks like a competent fighter and has got the finish in all 8 of his wins. Benitez took a career-defining beating against Billy Q in his last fight, and that kind of beating is enough to change you. Benitez came in 3 pounds over on the scales today and looked terrible. Onama should have enough here to get a big win and kick off what looks like it could be a strong UFC career.

Joaquin Buckley VS Abdul Razak Alhassan

Abdul Razak Alhassan by 1st RD KO/TKO - Stake 1 Unit, Minimum Odds 5.5, Best Book - Sportsbet

We have two massive punching fighters who love to get their opponents out of the fight early. I don't see either of these fighters making waves in the grand scheme of the rankings. Buckley owns the greatest knockout of all time but, in reality, hasn't beaten any fighters of note. Alhassan has moved to middleweight and hopes to keep his strength at a higher weight class. We are getting a nice number on Alhassan by round 1 KO, where he has finished all of his victories. I see it problematic for Alhassan to win if he doesn't get it done early, so it's well worth the shot. 2 of Buckleys 4 losses have come via 1st round KO.

Jim Miller VS Nikolas Motta

Nikolas Motta by KO/TKO - Stake 2 Units, Minimum Odds 2.4, Best Book - Sportsbet

Nikolas Motta is making his UFC debut against Jim Miller, the holder of the most fights in UFC history. Motta looks like an incredible prospect and will explode onto the scene with a big win against Miller. Motta is a powerful fighter who shows excellent defensive wrestling skills and should be able to hold off the first round surge of Jim Miller. Miller has 1 round in him at this stage of his career. Granted that 1st round is more than enough to get anyone out, Miller will start to fade once we get past the first round. There's not a lot of treads left on Miller's tyres, and going up against a hungry young fighter like Motta will likely be too much for him.

Main/CO-Main Event Multi

Kyle Daukaus Win/Jamahal Hill by KO/TKO - Stake 2 Units, Minimum Odds 2.0, Best Book - Pointsbet

Kyle Daukaus may be the younger, smaller brother of Chris Daukaus, but that in no way means he should be counted out. Kyle arguably won his last match against Kevin Holland in dominating fashion and holds a nice win over Dustin Stolzfus. Jamie Pickett doesn't look like he will cut it with the division's mid to high tier fighters. Pickett is a banger who has some questionable losses against mid-tier fighters, and his victories have only come in lay-up fights. Pickett will be outworked on the mat here, and Daukaus will likely fish for the sub or be happy to grind out the fight from top position.

Our main event this week fell through with Rafael Fiziev facing visa issues. This has resulted in the Co-Main event being promoted to the main stage. Johnny Walker has been an absolute killer until his last fight and pushes a massive pace until either he wins or gets knocked out. Jamahal Hill is a similar fighter in terms of speed. However, he also has everything that Walker doesn't have in athleticism and talent. Hill was a terrific prospect until he got cocky against Paul Craig and decided to go to the ground with one of the best submission artists. In Hills last fight, he destroyed Jimmy Crute and showed why he'd been referred to as a tremendous prospect. Walker does have the ability to find the chin of Hill with a flying knee but fighting out of SBG Ireland seems to have calmed down his only win condition.

Violence Multi

Violence Multi - Stake 0.5 Units, Minimum Odds 10.5, Best Book - Topsport

UFC Vegas 48 Super Action

UFC Vegas 48 Super Action - Stake 1 Unit, Minimum Odds 12.5, Best Book - BET365

We have started 0/2 in our Super Action bets this year however I am encouraged that they have only been by 1 and 2 legs respectively. At the high odds that we are betting here, it will only take 1 or 2 to make a massive profit. It’s an odd card this week in the fact that I really only like the favourites. Usually, there would be a few dogs that we could throw in here, but we will be riding faves for our Super Action ticket.
